Lat(h)e Night Double Feature Bootleg Soundtracks
Ya know how movie soundtracks are all the rage these days on vinyl? Something about them has always bothered me. First of all, half the songs aren’t even in the movie. Second of all, there’s usually all sorts of musical stuff in the movie that never makes it to the vinyl. What gives? Where did that 15 seconds of someone whistling go, is that not music? Sure, the record may contain the “full song,” but what about the part where the music quiets for a second so a guy can go “What strange plants these are!”
If these things have bothered you, don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! In my new Lat(h)e Night Double Feature Bootleg Soundtrack series, I’m creating my own movie soundtracks by digitizing the audio of a movie straight from VHS and breaking it up into my own songs! The resulting discs are weird, almost-anti-music artifacts that contain song snippets, bits of dialogue, and lots of cool sounds. Dig it!
